Deborah Winiarski is participating in several events connected with the 2017 International Encaustic Conference[1]. On June 1, she will be teaching a workshop, “Beginning Encaustic,” at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill (Truro, MA). On June 2, she will give a demonstration, “Beginning Encaustic,” followed by two talks with Fanne Fernow: “The Ethics of Appropriation” and “Being in Community: Miss Manners Meets ArtZilla,” on June 3 and June 4 respectively. Winiarski will also be exhibiting work in two group exhibitions in Provincetown galleries: BLACK TIE (optional)[2], May 31–June 6, 2017, at Adam Peck Gallery and Alternative Wax[3], an encaustic conference juried exhibition, June 2–8, 2017, at Kobalt Gallery.
