Edmond Rochat Exhibiting in Lines in Motion

Forty-five drawings curated from the private collection of conservator Alexander Katlan will be on view at the Salmagundi Club as part of Lines in Motion: Drawings from Historic & Contemporary Masters, September 21–29. Edmond Rochat, who will be teaching a class in figurative drawing at the Art Students League this fall, is one of thirty-one contemporary artists working in the tradition of classical realism taking part in the show. In addition to an opening reception (September 23) and drawing demonstration (September 25), the exhibition will include a panel discussion, “Drawing from Life vs. Drawing from Photos,” on September 24, with speakers Jacob Collins, Max Ginsburg, and Burt Silverman.
