In “A Portentous Landscape” (PDF here[1]), appearing in the January/February issue of The Artist’s Magazine[2], Jerry Weiss writes about Twilight in the Wilderness, an 1860 landscape by Frederic Edwin Church. The painting is part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s exhibition, Maine Sublime: Frederic Church’s Twilight in the Wilderness[3], which continues through January 25, 2015.
