Jerry Weiss on Correggio’s Jupiter and Io

In his latest article for the “Master Class” column of The Artist’s Magazine, Jerry Weiss writes about Antonio Allegri da Correggio’s Jupiter and Io, one of four commissioned canvases, the artist painted “depicting the loves of Jupiter, the god who … transformed himself into nonhuman forms in order to indulge amatory indiscretions without being discovered by his wife, Juno.” Weiss’s article (PDF here) will appear in the June 2015 issue of The Artist’s Magazine.
