Robert Cenedella’s Controversial Canvas Returns to Fifty-seventh Street

Robert Cenedella’s The Presence of Man, which caused an outcry[1] from the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights twenty years ago when exhibited in the American Fine Arts Society window, will be on view next door from December 18 to 26, at the Window at Central Park Fine Arts[2] (New York Daily News[3]).

The Presence of Man by Robert Cenedella, currently on view at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., will be making its way back to Fifty-seventh Street.
