Bruce Dorfman Print a Recent Gift to the Harn Museum of Art

Bruce Dorfman’s color lithograph Woman, Early Stripes has been published in a catalogue of recent gifts to the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida. The lithographer for this work was the historic Atelier Mourlot, Paris, when they set up shop in New York City, working with artists over a period of two years. Dorfman had his own studio, with an assigned master print assistant in 1968. During that time, he developed friendships with Jose Cuevas, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz, and Francois Gilot, who were all working on editions there. Dorfman completed a total of five separate commissions at Mourlot.
